Project Engineer

11 years at Turner

Hometown: Brooklyn, NY

Current location: Aberdeen, NJ

Education and degrees: I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch.) from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, and I am a licensed NYC DOB Site Safety Manager.

Tell us about your interests, hobbies, family, and how these influence your life and work?

I enjoy cooking (and trying to make new recipes), being outdoors, attending sporting events (i.e., I am a big STEELER, and YANKEE fan), and traveling. One of my sons is a Superintendent in our Baltimore, Maryland/Washington, DC business unit. I have tried to impart my knowledge and experience to help his personal and professional growth. My wife and I have another son who has special needs. He has taught me patience, which has served me well in my personal and professional career. My daughter is a sophomore in high school and has a very competitive spirit which I enjoy seeing her exhibit in her day-to-day life.

What is the best advice you received at Turner?

Never be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone (i.e., in performing a new role/responsibilities). It’s only then that you will really grow.

What would you say to someone considering to join Turner?

Turner as a company provides a wealth of opportunities to its employees.  It’s what you do with those opportunities that can set you apart.  I am always amazed when I talk to long-time employees who have performed various roles over the tenure of their careers.

Are you active in professional networks?

I have participated in Founder’s Day activities at the Veterans Administration Center in the Bronx, New York and found the experience to be very rewarding.
